Assessment
With all new customers for all services, we will first schedule a meet and greet to get to know each other, and all dogs must complete a temperament assessment prior to using any of the Zendog services.
Behaviour
All dogs must be non-aggressive. Guardians will need to certify that their dog(s) have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dog(s). Please remember that your dog will be spending time with other dogs and that their safety and health is our main concern.
Health
The health of our four-legged clients is of paramount importance to us. Therefore, dogs must be free of any condition that could potentially jeopardize the health of other animals in our facility. Any dog that has been ill with a communicable condition will require a veterinarian certificate of good health prior to booking services with us.
Medication
We are happy to give medication, but do require a Medication Form to be completed each time your dog is in our care. All medication must be in its original container. Zendog centre will give the medications as instructed by you, but our staff has not been specially trained to treat your dog’s medical condition. We do not accept dogs that require medical treatment beyond the dispensing of medication (i.e. drains, bandage changes, suture removal, etc.).
Spay / Neuter
Dogs seven months of age or older MUST be spayed or neutered prior to attending Zendog daycare or overnight stays.
Special Needs & Medical Care
Zendog recognizes that some of our guests may have special needs. Clients must identify any special requirements with us when making a reservation, including but not limited to: medications, supplements, special meal preparation, extra feeding times, daily brushing, puppy care, and senior care (additional charges may apply).
Vaccinations
Dogs must be free of fleas and ticks and on a veterinarian approved flea prevention program from June through November. All dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations. These vaccinations include Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2, Parvovirus, Bordetella and Rabies for dogs. Guardians are required to provide veterinarian certification. Please allow a minimum of seventy-two (72) hours to pass between giving your dog these vaccinations and using any Zendog services. If at any time your dog is found to have fleas or ticks, we will provide the appropriate flea or tick removal treatment at your expense.
Emergency Care
Unfortunately, this could happen. Should your dog happen to require medical attention we will do everything we can to provide the right treatment for your dog in a timely manner. In the event that we are unable to reach you in a timely manner for whatever reason, we reserve the right to take your pet to the nearest veterinarian at the cost of $25.00 per hour .
Promotions
Any third party promotions is subject to Zendog Services' approval. Promotions are applicable to new customers only that have not used any of Zendog Services before, unless otherwise specified.
Zendog Daycare
We strive to provide a safe, cozy, and stimulating environment for your pets.
All our guests are closely monitored and supervised to ensure everyone in our pack gets along and has fun. Excessive barking, excessive mounting (humping), excessive urination, aggressive play, plaything possession, guarding, and bullying may lead to Zendog refusing admittance to our daycare.
Please understand, this is to ensure the safety of all our members, canine and humans alike.
We will do our best to try and integrate him/her in our group and will always take the precaution of separating the offending dog from the group when necessary. We will communicate any untoward behaviour with you and work with you to improve their behaviour so they can fully enjoy their experience.
Age Eligibility
‘Youngsters’ are welcome to join Zendog Fundays two weeks after completing their second series of DHPP (Distemper/Hepatitis/Parvovirosis/Parainfluenza) vaccinations which are usually given at 12 weeks of age and Bordatella (for Kennel Cough). Pups 16 weeks of age or older require a Rabies vaccination.
Zendog Centre Safety
Zendog strives to provide a social, healthy and safe environment. Due to this we reserve the right to refuse admittance to any dog that does not meet our health and behavior requirements and for which we do not have updated signed forms, vaccinations and information on file. Any dogs that do not follow our ‘behaviour etiquette’ may be separated from their friends to give them a chance to calm down before rejoining the group.
Suspension or expulsion may be necessary if bad behavior persists.
Reservations and cancellations
Zendog daycare reservations are suggested, so please call us at least 24 hours in advance to ensure we have available space. Should you not reserve a spot, space will be on a first come first serve basis. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours or there will be full cancellation fee of daily daycare rate.
Zendog team members may photograph or video the client’s pet(s) and use these photos/recordings for marketing and promotional purposes without any liability or obligation by the client.
Zendog Overnight Stays
As stated, all new customers will undergo an assessment at our facility at a mutually agreed date and time. Reservations are required for all overnight stays.
Overnight stays are very popular during major holidays and we recommend booking well in advance as space is limited.
We request you bring your dog’s regular food to avoid causing possible digestive issues (diarrhea, upset stomach, etc.). Please separate and individually wrap each meal clearly-marked with your dog’s name and any feeding instructions (i.e. add water, etc.). Please add an extra food bag for your dog in case you are delayed on pickup. This will ensure your dog will be correctly fed and you will know that every meal is properly prepared.
Personal Items, Toys etc.
Please do not bring personal items or toys when dropping off your dog. Zendog is not responsible for loss or damage to any personal item or toy.
Zendog team members may photograph or video the client’s pet(s) and use these photos/recordings for marketing and promotional purposes without any liability or obligation by the client.
Payment & Cancellation
For all overnight stays a deposit for the first night is required (Cash or credit card) at the time the reservation is confirmed. For long stays Zendog may request an increased deposit based on the length of stay. When dropping off your pet, they must be brought in on a leash and wear a collar.
Reservations cancelled within 48 hours of the reservation are subject to a cancellation charge of the deposit.
Zendog Walking
Zendog personnel may enter client’s home for the purpose of picking up/returning their pet. We will not be held responsible for dogs that cause damage to furniture, carpet, flooring/woodwork, walls, etc. while walker is not present. Zendog cannot be responsible for any complications dogs may suffer or actions of dogs while they are unattended.
Zendog Services and their sub contractors agree to provide services stated in this contract in a safe, reliable and trustworthy manner. In c-09y onsideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives any and all claims against Zendog Services or its sub contractors unless arising from negligence on the part of Zendog.
All pets need to wear proper Licensing Identification. Zendog is not liable for any fines incurred if pet is not wearing such identification.
Zendog walkers may photograph or video the client’s pet(s) and use these photos/recordings for marketing and promotional purposes without any liability or obligation by the client.
Pet sitters are representatives of the company and have signed non- compete agreement. At no time are they allowed to solicit business from clients referred to them by Zendog. If they do so, or if they accept pet sitting jobs independently, they are at risk of losing their jobs. This is necessary to protect the business.
Any wrongful or misleading information in the Pet Information sheets may constitute a breach of terms of this Dog Walking Contract and be grounds for instant termination thereof.
Reservations
We will always do our best to accommodate all of our client’s schedules; however we do recommend placing your reservations on as early as possible preferably over the weekend before the week has started. We allow you to set up your dog-walking service as a recurring reservation to ensure your dog walker will always have your reservation scheduled. Please email us your request for a recurring service.
**To avoid missed appointments and/or billing errors, we ask that you do not schedule or cancel appointments directly with the dog walker/pet sitter.
Cancellations
A cancellation notification for walks requires a minimum of 24 hours prior for a dog walk service. Cancellations made after this time will incur charges as follows:
-
50% cancellation charge (12 hours to - 24 hours notice)
-
Less than 12 hours notice full cancellation charge will be applied. Our pet professionals are prepared and we reserved the time to walk your dog on our schedule. For this reason we believe their time should be respected, therefore full cancellation charges apply.
Walker Sick Days and Vacation Days
Occasionally, our walkers get sick or request time off. We will always advise you in advance that your walker has requested time off and arrange for another Zendog staff member to walk your dog. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee you will have the same substitute each time; however, we make sure that each substitute is prepared. All of our dog walkers are bonded and insured through the company, and will always have a copy of your dog’s profile sheet so that he or she can keep the routine consistent and give your dog a great visit. The regular cancellation and scheduling policies still apply.
Entrance Access/Walk Time
Please allow the dog walker at least 1 (one) hour window to arrive at your home, this allows for the travel time between services to ensure we meet all our client’s needs.
If you live in a building or complex that has a secured entrance, please ensure we have written permission to access your apartment or condo. In the event that access becomes time consuming as Zendog Services representative sees fit, we will notify you and request a copy of key & fob in order to make sure we do not waste time for our walks and that we are on time for the rest of our clients' walk requests and schedules.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure on rainy/snowy days a suitable towel is provided by the front door each day the dog is walked, to be used to clean the dog if necessary.
Please note, due to the limited time your dog walker has to spend to ensure your dog is clean on muddy days, your dog will not be bathed under any circumstances.
If entry to a home cannot be made due to keys not being left at concierge or faulty keys, client must authorize the use of management to open the door. Should this not be possible, the dog walker will not be able to provide the service and the full cancellation charge will apply (this will only be charged should all other options be exhausted).
Extreme Weather
In order to serve the best interest of both your dog and the walker, 1-hour walks will not occur if there are extreme weather advisories or strong storms with thunder and lightning. In either case we will go outside long enough for your dog to relieve themselves.
Pet Health, Behavior, and Safety

Client agrees to be responsible for all costs (including, but not limited to, transportation, medical care, attorney fees, etc.) if client’s dog should bite another person or animal.
