We are always looking for great people who are true animal lovers to join our team. This can be a great additional income for you whether you are working with animals part-time or full time. Most importantly you'll have fun, get some exercise and meet great people! 

 

Here at Zendog, we carefully select who can join us. This is what separates us from the rest! 

 

Dog Walking, Dog Daycare, and Dog Boarding is not a job for everyone. It requires a lot of attention, reliability, patience, and endless love for animals. We ensure we only have dog lovers on board, with extensive experience in the field. Below are the things to consider before applying.

General Requirement for all Zendog candidates

 

  • Canadian citizenship with a clean criminal record and ability to pass a formal background check

  • Must be a true animal lover that is comfortable handling dogs of all sizes

  • Resistant to cold weather, snow, rain etc

  • Can start work immediately and commit to a minimum of six months

Zendog Pet Store Associate

​

  • Excellent Communication Skills

  • Retail Sales Experience

  • Flexible Schedule

  • Excellent work and personal references

Zendog Walker Requirements

​

  • Ready to work every day Monday through Friday from 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. This is important so please don’t apply unless you can commit to the whole time — Zendog clients like to have the same dog walker every day

  • Ready and capable to follow clients’ detailed instructions

  • Excellent work and personal references

Zendog Daycare Attendant

​

  • Ready to work every day Monday through Friday, shifts from 7:00 am and 2:00 pm or   1:00pm - 8:00pm. 

  • Be willing to work flexible hours when required

  • Must be a true animal lover that is comfortable handling dogs of all sizes

  • Can start work immediately and commit to a minimum of six months

  • Ready and capable to follow clients’ detailed instructions

  • Be reliable, dependable and a pack leader

  • Excellent work and personal references

Zendog "Host" Requirements

 

  • Live in the Toronto Area

  • Available on weekends and/or major holidays

  • Travel is not a common thing for you

  • Live in a pet friendly building as a leaseholder or owner

  • Live alone or with a partner. 

  • Live in a well-kept apartment, very clean, attractive

  • Have had dog/cat experience and cared for one while you were a child/adult

  • Be home a majority of the day to care for dogs as a host

  • Be able to provide excellent references
